By accessing or using the Chayil Center website, services, programs, or facilities, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services or access our facilities.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, clients, volunteers, and others who access or use our services, whether in-person, online, or through any other means of communication.

2. About Chayil Center

Chayil Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support services including but not limited to:

  • Crisis intervention and counseling services

  • Safe haven and residential services

  • Service learning and educational programs

  • Wellness programs and resources

  • Community support and advocacy

  • Food assistance programs

Our mission is to empower individuals and families through compassionate support, education, and resources that promote healing, growth, and independence.

3. Services and Programs

3.1 General Service Provision

  • All services are provided subject to availability and eligibility requirements

  • Chayil Center reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service or program at any time

  • Services are provided on a voluntary basis and may be discontinued by either party

  • Some services may require intake assessments, background checks, or other screening procedures

3.2 Eligibility and Intake

  • Eligibility for services is determined through our intake process

  • Participants must provide accurate and complete information during intake

  • Falsification of information may result in termination of services

  • We reserve the right to refuse services to individuals who pose a safety risk to staff, volunteers, or other participants

3.3 Service Standards

  • We strive to provide services in a professional, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner

  • All services are provided without discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, or other protected characteristics

  • We maintain professional boundaries in all service relationships

4. Client Rights and Responsibilities

4.1 Client Rights

You have the right to:

  • Respectful and dignified treatment

  • Confidential handling of your personal information

  • Clear explanation of available services and any associated requirements

  • Participate in service planning when appropriate

  • File complaints or grievances regarding services

  • Discontinue services at any time

4.2 Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information to the best of your ability

  • Treat staff, volunteers, and other participants with respect

  • Follow all facility rules and safety protocols

  • Attend scheduled appointments and notify us of cancellations when possible

  • Comply with program requirements and expectations

  • Respect the rights and privacy of other participants

We collect personal information necessary to provide services, including:

  • Information about circumstances requiring assistance

  • Health and wellness information relevant to services

  • Documentation required for program participation

  • Emergency contact information

5.2 Information Use and Disclosure

  • Information may be shared with authorized staff and volunteers on a need-to-know basis

  • We may share information when required by law or to prevent imminent harm

  • Anonymous, aggregate data may be used for program evaluation and reporting

6. Safe Haven and Residential Services

6.1 Admission and Stay Requirements

  • Admission to residential services is subject to availability and safety assessment

  • All residents must comply with facility rules and expectations

  • Length of stay is determined based on individual circumstances and program capacity

  • Residents may be asked to leave if they violate facility rules or pose safety concerns

6.2 Facility Rules and Expectations

  • No weapons, illegal substances, or alcohol are permitted on the premises

  • Visitors must be approved and supervised according to facility policies

  • Curfew and other safety protocols must be observed

  • Respectful behavior toward staff and other residents is required

  • Personal belongings are subject to search for safety and security reasons

6.3 Safety and Security

  • We maintain security measures to protect the safety of all residents and staff

  • Location information for safe haven facilities is kept confidential for security reasons

  • Emergency procedures are in place and must be followed by all residents

  • We work with law enforcement and legal authorities when necessary for safety

7. Volunteer and Community Programs

7.1 Volunteer Services

  • Volunteers must complete required background checks and training

  • Volunteer activities are subject to supervision and program guidelines

  • Volunteers represent Chayil Center and must maintain professional standards

  • Volunteer service may be terminated at any time by either party

7.2 Service Learning Programs

  • Participants must meet age and eligibility requirements

  • Parental consent is required for minors

  • Educational and safety objectives guide all programming

  • Participants must follow program rules and safety protocols

7.3 Community Events and Activities

  • Participation in events is voluntary and subject to capacity limitations

  • Event rules and safety protocols must be observed

  • We reserve the right to remove disruptive individuals from events

  • Photography and media coverage may occur at public events

8. Financial Policies

8.1 Service Fees

  • Most services are provided at no cost to participants

  • Some specialized programs may have associated fees or suggested donations

  • Financial hardship will not prevent access to essential services

8.2 Donations and Fundraising

9. Health and Safety

  • Participants are responsible for their own medical care and medications

  • We may require health clearances for certain programs or services

  • Medical emergencies will be handled by calling emergency services

9.2 Safety Protocols

  • All participants must follow safety protocols and emergency procedures

  • Weapons, illegal substances, and alcohol are prohibited on all premises

  • Threatening or violent behavior will result in immediate removal and may involve law enforcement

  • Safety concerns should be reported to staff immediately

9.3 Insurance and Liability

  • Participants are responsible for their own medical insurance and healthcare costs

  • We maintain appropriate liability insurance for our operations

  • Participants engage in activities at their own risk

  • We are not responsible for personal property loss, damage, or theft

10. Website and Technology Use

10.1 Website Terms

  • Users must not misuse our website or attempt to harm our systems

  • We reserve the right to restrict or terminate website access

10.2 Intellectual Property

  • We disclaim warranties regarding service outcomes or results

14. Termination of Services

14.1 Voluntary Termination

  • Clients may discontinue services at any time

  • We encourage discussion with staff before terminating services

  • Referrals to other resources may be provided when appropriate

  • Records and documentation will be maintained according to our policies

14.2 Involuntary Termination

Services may be terminated by Chayil Center if:

  • The client poses a safety risk to self, others, or staff

  • The client repeatedly violates program rules or expectations

  • The client provides false or misleading information

  • The client's needs exceed our program capabilities

  • Funding or program changes necessitate service discontinuation

14.3 Termination Process

  • When possible, termination decisions will be discussed with the client

  • Reasonable notice will be provided except in emergency situations

  • Referrals to alternative resources will be provided when appropriate

  • Appeal processes may be available for certain termination decisions

15. Changes to Terms

15.1 Modification Rights

  • These Terms may be updated or modified at any time

  • Changes will be effective upon posting or as otherwise communicated

  • Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of modified terms

17. Governing Law
